Liability Statement

The full name of the business is Space-Pods Limited t/a Ewepack.  Ewepack provides transportation only of packages. You are responsible for all packing and loading of your items, unless you engage us to pack for you. Your items are secured in a Shipping or Storage Container. Ewepack is only responsible for damage caused by our negligence. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper packing or loading by you.  If we have packed or loaded your goods, then we may be responsible and we have the relevant insurance cover, but this will only be valid within the UK.  You will need marine insurance cover for goods travelling overseas.

Ewepack has two types of liability insurance for your goods . The first coverage is third party liability which covers your items for container fire, overturn, collision, or complete container theft remaining in the UK or carried on our vehicles . This standard limited coverage is included at no additional charge.

The second coverage is carrier negligence liability which covers your items for loss or damage caused by carrier negligence. The customer acknowledges that Ewepack liability is limited and that additional coverage is available from the recommended insurer.

Liability begins after your loaded container has been picked up at origin in the UK and ceases when the  container has been delivered for unloading at your UK destination or the freight terminal for international shipments. It is understood that Ewepack will assume no liability if the container is intact at the time of delivery, except in the case of water damage, which is covered at the standard liability coverage. Additional coverage must be requested through the insurer before delivery of container. All loss and damage must be reported immediately. All claims must be filed within two weeks of the date-of-delivery at destination.

We also recommend that you check with your home contents insurance agent. Many agents will create a policy to cover your goods during transit and between properties.  Ewepack is not an insurer, nor an FSA qualified provider, under these terms, we are known as an 'Introducer' - you must seek professional advice for your queries.
