As an estimator for an ancient removals firm in 1986, EwePack's MD, Steve Lawson-Smith is believed to be the first to organise the loading of a car and a whole home contents in Whitechurch-On-Thames, Berkshire directly outside the property.  Before this date, the vehicle would have been driven up a ramp or taken to a nearby depot.  Nowadays YOU can load your own car outside your home with our transport options. Steve still recalls that "the curtains were well and truly twitching when the artic pulled up outside.  The customer was chuffed that he drove the prize MGB into the container himself, before the home contents were loaded in front of it.  Then the whole consignment went to New Zealand direct from the house.  The removals porters were amazed at how quickly and easily the container was loaded."
