Flexible, Secure Part-Load - LIFT-VANS are the perfect solution for you if you need to be in control of how your shipment is handled door-to-door.

Loading Labour Options – Most of EwePack customers prefer to load their own Lift-Vans, however, we do have moving crews and can load for you – in fact sometimes it suits our operation to help you load and take the Lift-Van away at the same time.

The LIFT-VAN trailer service is available in some locations – that is where we bring the lift-van to you and leave it with you for a day to load up in your own time. Then we return to collect it and take it away for shipping once it has been packed and sealed on site.

Once loaded, the lift-van can be taken away and the whole crate is fork lifted from our vehicle or trailer and placed in the shipping warehouse – without double handling! Then when the container is loaded, the lift-van is simply lifted and placed by fork lift.

The great thing about lift-vans is that once they are loaded, the whole unit is moved. There is no need to handle anything individually as there would be on a normal removal groupage service. This means you benefit from a reduced cost of shipping with the Shared Load system, without the thought of people handling your goods again in a removals groupage service.

Naturally lift-vans cost a little more than the removals groupage system. This is because the cost of producing the crate and bringing it out is extra. We think that the benefits stack up in most cases, for instance lift-vans offer these benefits:

1. No double-handling (once they are loaded, they remain untouched until final delivery)

2. They are secured on site (less chance of losses en route)

3. Being a fixed volume, they control your budget

4. They can be swapped from one truck/container to another thus giving more flexible shipping options

5. Lift-Vans can be made in a size to suit your needs.

Please Note – many countries govern the import of wooden packing materials – EwePack only use suppliers that conform to the international norm for treated wood (ISPM-15).

At Destination – we have a network of agents around the world that we rely on to be your champion when the Lift-Van arrives at the port of destination. Some of our customers request us to ship to another preferred agent, which we are happy to do where possible. Most EwePack customers however, will ask us to appoint our agent for them to clear customs at the destination. Depending on the location, the agent will be able to perform as much or as little as you wish to secure the delivery of your goods to your new property.

Unloading The Lift-Van – You can keep the lift-van at destination if you wish. If you don’t want it, usually the delivery company is happy to take it away for you.
